Products, Services & Warranties

1. Tyburn Service Centres offers a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty on all our work unless otherwise stated. As a Unipart car care centre we can offer 12 month or 12,000 miles nationwide warranty when unipart components/parts are supplied and fitted by ourselves. All warranties are non-transferable and only apply to the person who purchased the original parts/job when it was carried out. (customer details recorded on job/repair invoice)

2. We ask customers to keep all paper work such as invoices safe, as when making a warranty claim the invoice is required for evidence and proof of purchase.

3. When a warranty job is carried out we will organize a replacement part and time to repair the vehicle to the best of our ability, most of the time within 24 hours. Yet in some cases time may be required to inspect the part / job and may even require an independent evaluator to assess the vehicle, Also some parts may be required to be returned to the manufacturer for inspection to determine the cause of fault. Therefore in some circumstances the time frame for repair may vary and will be discussed with you by the garage manager.

4. A warranty can be voided by either ourselves or the manufacturers when the cause of fault is not caused by either a manufacturer defect, an incorrect part for that vehicle model or incorrect fitting.

5. Certain products and jobs carried out on a vehicle may have no warranty or only a part time warranty (which will be stated on the invoice) If the component/part fitted by us is supplied by the customer or by the customer's request we are to fit a used / second hand part then part warranty applies in which only fitting of the part is covered, any other fault other than incorrectly fitted is not covered by warranty. Non-warranty jobs and products will only be fitted / carried out with the customer’s prior consent and will be stated on the invoice and in some cases will require a signature by the customer as evidence of approval.

6. Wear and tear is applicable to certain components on a vehicle, even though these products have the same 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty they may have premature wear due to excessive use. This means some components such as serviceable items can be voided due to wear and tear.

7. To claim a warranty all you need to do is contact us on 0121 328 3312 and book an appointment to inspect the vehicles suspected faulty product or job. we please request to be made aware that the inspection is to a part or job which is currently under warranty as this will speed up the process and ensure the correct procedures can then be carried out, we also request you keep all paper work safe as no paperwork may increase the time it takes for us to sort the claim or even impact your ability to claim on the warranty. If you have the Unipart nationwide warranty then you are welcome to put forward warranty claims into any UCCC across the country. If a non UCCC garage has diagnosed the fault as a part or job under warranty then proof may be required to make a claim, we may require the part or even the vehicle to be sent back to us for inspection. Under some circumstances an independent assessor may be sent to the garage by us to inspect the vehicle, In such circumstances a prior arrangement will be made with the garage manager.

8. If you are unsure about any warranty, jobs or products please speak to garage manager prior to work being agreed. None of the above terms and condition affects your statutory rights. Tyburn Service Centre reserves the right to update, change and / or amend any of our terms and conditions contained on this site at any time without prior notice.

MOT & Interim Service Special Offer

1. In regards to the MOT test, vehicle is eligible to one full test regardless of a pass or fail and one free retest. (VOSA terms and conditions still apply)

2. Only Class 4 vehicles are eligible for this special offer.

3. Limits apply as followed; engine oil limit up to 5.5litres of 10/40 semi synthetic oil, 5/30 semi synthetic oil or 5/30 fully synthetic oil. Specialist / other oil types EG. Low saps oil may incur a surcharge.

4. Limits apply as followed; vehicle is eligible to one oil filter up to the value of £15.00 inclusive of VAT.

5. MOT & Interim Service Special Offer cannot be booked across two separate dates and must be invoiced together as one job.

6. Manager has final say to applicable products & vehicles.

7. If unsure on any of the terms and conditions please see manager prior to work being carried out on your vehicle.

8. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount

 

Free Brake Inspection Special Offer

1. Free brake inspection consists of visual checks to the vehicles discs, pads, calliper and calliper flexi hose.

2. If vehicle is fitted with drum brakes then the brake performance is checked using a rolling road.

3. This offer is eligible to Class 4 vehicles only.

4. Manager has final say to applicable products and vehicles.

 

Free Battery Checks Special Offer

1. Battery must be fitted to the vehicle to receive free checks.

2. Manager has final say to applicable products and vehicles.

 

Student Discount Deal Special Offer

1. Student discount is only available with a valid student ID which is in date                                                                                                                                 

2. 10% discount does not apply to MOT tests, dealer or specialist parts                                                                                                                       

 3. Proof of vehicle ownership may be required                                                                                                                                                                                              

4. Manager has final say to all applicable components and vehicles                                                                                                                                                                   

5. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount

 

Season Offer

1. Seasonal offers only available when specified (Offer changes througout year)

2. Seasonal offer can only be booked & carried out during the specified times

3. Seasonal offer may be subject to availability or may be limited to a set amount

4. Garage manager has final say over applicable products & vehicles

5. Seasonal Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other offer / discount

 

FREE Vehicle Collection

1. The vehicle being collected must be able to start off the key without any aid & must be in a road worthy condition to be driven to our workshop

2. Vehicle must have a valid MOT test & road tax, unless vehicle is being collected for an VOSA MOT Test which has been booked with our workshop prior to the vehicle being collected

 3. Vehicle must have sufficent amount of fuel to be driven from its current location to our workshop (Erdington, Birmingham B24 8NQ)

4. If vehicle fails to meet any of the terms and conditions stated then surcharges may apply. Example: Vehicle booked for collection was not in a road worthy state and cannot complete the journey due to breaking down, then a recover charge will be implemented to transport vehicle and our staff / work member back to our workshop. If the vehicle's is collected and taken to our workshop and the agreed work / booking is canceled then a handleing charge of £10 +vat may be applied.
